I have tried South Indian style Chilli idli, Idli fry, Kaima idli even idli upma using left over idli. But Idli Manchurian is the one I wanted to make for long time. Yesterday I cooked some extra idlis just to. Cocktail idli, idli manchurian, chilli idli, idli upma, idli fry are a few to name.
Instructions to make Idli manchurian:
- Take a bowl of poha and eventually add buttermilk to it give rest of 15 min
- Simultaneously take a bowl of rava and add buttermilk to it. Give rest of 15 min
- Now combine both batter and mix them very well.
- Add a packet of eno
- The batter of idli is ready… Put the batter in idli stand
- Idli will be as soft as of regular one
- Chop the idli to fry them
- Now prepare slurry to dip idli into it before frying it
- For slurry :take a bowl mix maida soya sauce salt and red chilies power, black pepper to taste
- Your slurry is ready to dip idli in it
- Now take a pan add oil to it
- Dip the idli in slurry and then fry them.. as we do in pakodas
- Now prepare manchurian gravy
- To prepare gravy.. take a pan add oil to it. Add onion fry them for 2 min. Add cabbage and capsicum. Saute them nicely
- Add soya sauce, red chilli paste, garlic paste, salt to taste
- Then add 1/2 cup of water to it.. and let it cook for 3-5 min
- Then add fry idli to it
- Saute them for 2 min
- Idli manchurian is ready to be served….
