Steps to make Mohanthaal:
- Method for dhrabo. - In a bowl add the gram flour, melted ghee and milk. Rub the mixture in between your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs. Let it rest for half an hour. - Sieve the dhrabo thru medium hole sieve or you can pulse it in food processor until it resembles bread crumbs.

- In a wide wok add ghee and the dhrabo mix and cook on medium heat until it is golden brown and ghee separates from the flour.
- Remove from heat and add milk powder, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mix well. Leave it aside until the mixture is warm. - Pour the hot sugar syrup in the mixture and mix until all syrup is fully incorporated.
- In a greased plate transfer the Mohanthaal and garnish with pistachios, almonds, saffron and poppyseeds. Let it set for few hours and cut into pieces.
