- Wash sago 3-4 time and soak in water(used water until sago level) for 3-4 hours. 1. Soak saffron strands in 3-4 tbs warm milk. 1. Heat pan add milk and give one boil, now add sago and boil until sago turns transparent and soft. Stir occasionally.
- Now add sugar and cook for 4-5 minutes add saffron mix milk and cardamom powder give one boil and remove from flame.
This simple sago kheer recipe can be made more delicious by adding pistachios, cinnamon powder or dates powder to make it more flavourful. If you want to make a healthier version of sago kheer, add jaggery instead of sugar. If you are a vegan, you can make sabudana kheer using coconut milk, cashew milk, or soy milk.
