Steps to make Beehive:
- Start by adding the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, yeast, yougurt, milk, vegetable oil in the mixter with the dough mixing attachment & mix untill a soft dough is established, then cover with a damp cloth
- Alternatively you can knead by hand until a soft dough is established.
- Next allow the dough to rest for 60 minutes then form into small equal sized dough balls & fill every ball with cheese as desired & place the stuffed dough balls next to each other in a baking dish greased with butter.
- Next allow the dough to rest for another 15 minutes. Then before it go's in the oven we brush the top of the dough with some butter & bake in the oven at 180° for 25 - 30 minutes or until dough balls are golden brown
- Finally when the baking dish is out of the oven brush the top with a generous amount of fresh honey then garnigh with roasted sesame seeds (optional) then transfer it to your choice of serving dishe and enjoy warm.
- Note: we can substitute brushing the dough before baking with a mixture of one egg mixed with some milk instead of butter.
