  3. While the pork is cooking, prepare vegetables. Cut all very vegetables into large chunky pieces, especially Potatoes because they cook quicker than Carrot and Daikon. Cut Onions into quarters and keep the root end in each piece as the root end will hold the onion layers together.
  4. Before adding vegetables, skim off the fat on the surface. Add Daikon, Carrot and Potato pieces, place Onion (and Cabbage if you add) pieces on top, cover with a lid, and bring back to the boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until all vegetables are soft.
